Harold,as I explained in another posting on this somewhat confused thread,
«戴安理» is just my name in Chinese script. Alas, I seem to have contributed to
a large degree to the confusion ! But it's been fun !...

AFAIK, it's something very near to a good transliteration of the modern
Roman dialect, though it's always hard to transliterate a vernacular
language that it's very similar to others in that zone. :)

However, I can be wrong because I'm not a Roman. ;-)

Gianluca

My friends in Rome, being well bred, always speak Italian with me, so my
knowledge of Roman dialect is limited to a few phrases like «Annamo !» But
I'm going to post the line to a friend in Rome to see what he has to say on
the matter - like a bad penny, I shall turn up again with a report !...

Your analysis has been confirmed, Gianluca, by a local expert, who writes :
«E' dialetto romano.
Significa:" Non ti preoccupare, non ci offendiamo, e non lo so se
ora............ ti può dare una mano".»

So now we know !...

NoOp, so can it go : Chinese names tend to be short and lapidary, like the
classical language....
