FYI: current status of our --enable-lto support

From best to worst:

(*) Linux + gcc + gold - produces what seems to be a working program, but SIGSEGV's in unit tests, and cannot be debugged because debug info is non-existent

(*) Windows + Visual Studio - manages to do most of the build, but runs into a weird compiler issue when building the twain extension

(*) Linux + clang11 + gold - runs into linking error with the desktop module

(*) Linux + clang11 + lld --- did not make it past comphelper before hitting a link problem

(*) macOS - did not make it past unoidl before crashing while trying to run one of the unoidl tools
