Libre Office for older laptop and margin changes

I wanted to install Libre Officce for an older laptop so I was considering
ver 6.4.0.3 (I have on a W10 laptop with an iCore 7 - so it;s newer.

But I couldn't find that version on the libre download page.

I found this
https://www.libreoffice.org/donate/dl/win-x86/6.4.6/en-US/LibreOffice_6.4.6_Win_x86.msi

Would that be similar in look and function?

My older Libre Office version on that older laptop doesn't have Page Style
on it so I wanted to adjust margins and have no idea how you do that on an
older version and figured I 'd just install the one above which will
hopefully have Page Style For Margin changes.

Your thoughts/suggestions are appreciated.

Thank you!

Charles..

Re: Libre Office for older laptop and margin changes

LibreOffice 6.4.6 is the same as LibreOffice 6.4.0 in term of features,
but is updated with bug and regression fixes (so, you should update your
newer PC as well). The fourth digit in the version number has no meaning
(it is the number of release candidates, so is a development related
information). Best regards.

You didn't mention the Operating System present on the old laptop, but as
Italo wrote, if it's able to run 6.4.0 it will likely run 6.4.6 as well.

BTW here you can find all releases:
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/

This is really weird, because page styles are in LibreOffice (Writer, I
guess you meant) from its first version, if I'm not wrong (but I'm pretty
sure of that).

You should find them under Format menu, or pressing F11 key.

Really strange, but, anyway, did it work with F11?

No, a 64bit version won't run on a 32bit O.S.

If you open "win" folder, you'll find "x86" and "x86_64" subfolders, where
the first is 32bit. For instance have a look here:
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/5.4.7.2/win/
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/6.4.6.2/win/
https://downloadarchive.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/old/7.0.0.3/win/

On this page you can find system requirements:
https://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/system-requirements/

So Win7 (if you applied SP1) should be fine even for the last version.
