Notification Emails not being sent

On the https://ask.libreoffice.org website notification emails are not being
sent. The red envelope shows against the username when there is new activity
in a post that I have contributed to but I do not receive an email. This
problem seems to happen often. It works for a short time after being fixed
then reverts to not working.

can you try with a different mail account? I'd like to rule out problems
with the receiving mail server.

Florian, I have tried a different email account and the same happens, the red
envelope shows but to email. There is a new posting from another member on
the forum reporting the same problem -

This is happening since a lot of time, sometimes an email arrives, but a day
or two after.

May be this is the reason that many people don¡t take care of the received
anwsers to their questions.

thanks for the feedback. It seems that the mail system is working fine,
but AskBot is not generating e-mails. I've poked Evgeny to have a look
what's going wrong.

I got a message from Evgeny, who wants to look into this this week
finally, so we hopefully have a solution soon. Sorry for the inconveniences.

a quick update: Evgeny is investigating further, as there seems to be no
clear pattern yet that triggers the issue. Mails see to be generated
properly during his tests and delivered by the mail server. I'll keep
you posted - sorry for the inconveniences.
