Re: Digest of users@libreoffice.org issue 4 (36-37)

Problem with LibO (WinXP SP2 LibreOffice beta)

http://www.vishay.com/thermistors/curve-computation-list/http://www.vishay.com/doc?29104

        - file  cc6400c1.xls  opened with LibO Calc
        - trying to unprotect sheets
        - shows a single-field 'Unprotect sheet' dialog --> OK -->
Incorrect password!

(Same file with OOo 3.2.1 -- no problem unprotecting sheets!)

Regards!

Confirm. I think this is due to LibO go-oo patches. I tested on:

Linux:
o Ubuntu 3.2.1 OOo (go-oo package)
  - prompt for password
o LibO 3.3 Beta (go-oo package)
  - prompt for password
o Go-oo 3.2.0 (m12)
  - prompt for password
o Standard OOo 3.2.1
  - no prompt for password
o Standard OOo 3.3 dev (m18)
  - will have to try later as my other system w/dev on it is down at the
moment

WinXP SP3
o Standard OOo 3.2.1
  - no prompt for password
o LibO 3.3 Beta (go-oo package)
  - prompt for password
Microsoft Excel 2002
  - prompt for password

Perhaps this is a good thing as Excel also promts for the password.

Please, please, please change the subject line to something more
relevant than "Re: Digest of <anything>"

Thanks.
